Calling All Artists!

Calling All Artists!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS, PAINT-BY-NUMBER ENTHUSIASTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF ALL AGES…amateurs and professionals wanted!

The Chaffee Art Center, Your Center for Creativity, is getting ready for “Connections” … An intergenerational Exhibit that Opens Saturday, July 27, 2–4pm with a Garden Party! Thanks to our Sponsor: Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging

We are excited as this is an exhibit about connection and we want YOU to be a part of it! Connections across the ages build stronger communities. Storytelling across generations reinforces cultures, allows stories to live on, preserves stories and histories, opens up community narratives. Did you know that 92% of Americans believe that art helps with the feeling of loneliness and isolation across age groups?!

ATTENTION ARTISTS, PAINT-BY-NUMBER ENTHUSIASTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS … amateurs and professionals wanted OF ALL AGES!

With this exhibit, there are lots of opportunities for “connecting” and involving the community! Galleries will showcase different age groups from kids to the young-at-heart. Be a part of this fun exhibit where you can learn stories across all ages! We encourage multi-ages to create a piece together or work on it along side someone.

• Submit a paint-by-numbers piece or another art form for display in the exhibit (framed if possible with name, phone, age, medium on back)

• Submit a photo that shows connection … between ages, between people, between animals and people, etc. (framed if possible with name, phone, age, medium on back)

• Artists that are not Chaffee members can also submit work in the exhibit theme (framed with name, phone, age, medium on back)

• All of the above should include a short paragraph about the piece submitting “to connect your art (and you) with others.”

Be a part of this fun exhibit where you can learn stories across all ages! If interested, an email to [email protected] would be appreciated but is not mandatory to participate. This exhibit will be on display until September 6th.
