Mosaics
The artist is a long-time resident of Rutland. After dabbling with various painting and drawing mediums, she decided to try to find a way to get rid of an obscenely large collection of wine corks that amassed during the Covid lock-down. After several arts and crafts attempts, she decided to use the corks in a mosaic, glued to a wood backing. After assisting her family with an epoxy resin table, the idea to pour resin over the finished cork mosaic was born. Each piece has morphed, taken on new detail and encompassed other materials. The process, like all art, continues to change and grow with each new idea. The artist can be contacted at [email protected].
