The Chaffee Art Center, Your Center for Creativity, is proud to again showcase young artists in grades PreK-12th from Vermont schools and homeschoolers for our Annual Student Exhibit, “It’s All About the Arts.”

We invite the community to the Student Exhibit Opening on Saturday, April 29th from 1pm to 3pm with free refreshments.

The Chaffee takes great pleasure in presenting the opportunity for these talented young people to be inspired by seeing their work, and the works of others, displayed in our 1890’s historic mansion professional gallery. 

A heartfelt thank you to all of the teachers, parents, family and friends who encourage young artists to explore the arts, as well as to the artists who continue to amaze and inspire.

Additionally, Chaffee artist members will have work on display and for sale in the upstairs galleries, as well as in the Gallery Shoppe that is filled with handmade treasures and gift ideas for any occasion, or even for yourself! The Student Exhibit  will be on display until May 26th. There is no charge for admittance. A donation would be greatly appreciated.

As we celebrate 62 years as an art center in the Rutland Community, we also invite you to join as an artist, single or family member to help the Chaffee to continue to inspire and cultivate creativity, while positively impacting the vitality of our community through the arts. 

Visit the Chaffee during open hours to experience the beauty of the 1890’s historic building and the wonderful works of art throughout, plus our Gallery Shoppe! While here, picture your next event, bridal shower, wedding, meeting or retreat being held in our beautiful 1890’s mansion, fondly known by its first owners as Sunny Gables. 

Hours: Thursday and Friday, 12–4pm; Saturday 10am–2pm. Starting in May, we will also be open 12–4pm on Wednesdays.
